There are so many details regarding marriage and often we get the “cart before the horse”. Marriage is a lifelong commitment that is both real fun… and real work. And, while it’s not something that we enter lightly, the process of preparation is a blessing that will help give you tools to build a solid foundation for the years to come.

Required Reading – Please take the assessment at www.RealRelationships.com prior to coming to the first session. Additionally, purchase the following books:

- Session 4 – Chapter 7 and last minute details
Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts
Fee - If you do premarital counseling with me the fee is $400 for four sessions, the rehearsal, and wedding. If you do premarital counseling with someone else, the fee is $300 for a single meeting, rehearsal, and wedding. (Another pastor/counselor must communicate with me that they have covered the information in the “Required Reading”). If you do no premarital counseling and want me to do the ceremony, only, the cost is $800. Checks are payable to Saint Alban’s Chapel.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are divorced, we have special pastoral provisions that are required to help guide you in your next steps. Please fill out this form and send it to me as soon as possible. Re-marriage is not a guaranteed outcome of pre-marital counseling and we must have the Bishop’s permission prior to the wedding. This form details the provisions that we must meet prior to the wedding. Do not plan anything (deposits, caterers, etc) until you receive this form back. Plan on 45 days from submission to approval or denial.
